How the shipping works
Every Black Bear Brand order ships with UPS. The cost is calculated live at checkout from the size and weight of the package, the destination, and the insured value. Every order is insured at its full value. There is no flat rate, because no two orders travel the same way.
The UPS calendar for Christmas 2026
Christmas Eve falls on a Thursday this year. UPS has published that delivery for all services runs on Thursday, December 24, 2026. There is no UPS pickup or delivery on Friday, December 25.
UPS Ground timing depends on the distance between Seattle and your door. The faster air services close the gap in the last days before Christmas. For a gift that has to be under the tree, I would order in the first half of December and enjoy the wait.

The Black Bear Brand Peacoat in black and the Hunter Green Peacoat, 14.7oz wool from the Aichi-Ichinomiya area of Japan, made entirely in Japan.
The Harris Tweed coats, made in Seattle from cloth woven by hand in Scotland for Black Bear Brand: the Highlander Coat in evergreen plaid with a sherpa collar and body, the Ranch Coat in Stonewall, and the SKY BLUE Tartan Zip Coat.
The Evergreen & Pearl Car Coat, Harris Tweed with a tight curl sheepskin collar and placket and real horn buttons. The stock is very limited, only a few sizes remain, and the design retires when it sells through.

Made to order
The Horween horsehide leather jackets are made to order during preorder windows that open three or four times a year. They take months to make, one at a time, in the USA. A jacket ordered in a window this winter is a gift that arrives later, made in his size.
