Since I started my women's collection this year, a number of Black Bear Brand designs come in two cuts. Here they are.
One tweed, two coats
The Wildflower Harris Tweed is woven for us by hand in the Outer Hebrides. From that one cloth come the men's Wildflower Chore Coat and the WOMAN Wildflower Chore Coat. Both are made in Seattle. Both are lined in diamond quilting made for Black Bear Brand in Japan.
Two pairs from Okayama
The Double Front Jeans are shuttle loom woven selvedge from Okayama, Japan. The WOMAN Boy Friend Washed Jeans are 12oz shuttle loom selvedge made in Okayama too, in the BBBW wash created for the women's collection. The same town, two very different pairs.
Two thermals
The Ultimate Thermal Henley is 11.5oz waffle knit in cotton and modal, with our custom shell buttons, made in Seattle. The WOMAN Japanese Cotton Thermal Henley is 8.6oz waffle knit made in Japan, 100% cotton, in white and ivory.
Two vests
The Northern Dream Reversible Vest and the WOMAN Reversible Vest are both Horween horsehide on one side and long curl lambskin on the other, turning on a vintage Talon reversible zipper. Both are sewn one at a time in Seattle and made to order. The winter 2026/27 preorder for the Northern Dream Reversible Vest is open now, and so is the first preorder for the WOMAN Reversible Vest.
Two caps
The Merino Wool Cable Knit Watch Cap is crafted by hand in northern Japan. Ivory for one, black for the other, or burnt orange for both.
